Bringing Indiana University to the world
In the eight-plus years since Indiana University launched IU Online, IU has become, as President Michael McRobbie said in his 2017 State of the University address, “the state’s online education powerhouse.” The number of IU’s online programs has doubled since 2014, and the number of students enrolled in those programs has grown by almost 90 percent. You can find all of IU's online programs at online.iu.edu.
IU’s collaborative approach to online education means that units and faculty members from multiple IU campuses share resources and expertise. At the Office of Online Education, our role is to facilitate collaboration among all involved in online education at IU, ensuring that the university delivers high-quality academic experiences and seamless services to online students—and makes an IU education accessible to learners around the world.
